Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on Twitter: “#EkThaTiger India + Overseas combined biz *after 2nd Weekend* is Rs 210 cr +. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER.”
Rs 175 crores is the film’s current earnings in India. The Rs 35 crores it’s earned abroad till now, 12 days after release, take the figure to Rs 210 crores. Ek Tha Tiger still trails 3 idiots which is the top earning Bollywood movie of all time, both at home and overseas.

So it’s shaping up to be Salman Khan vs Aamir Khan, a battle that Salman looks likely to be on his way to winning.
Ek Tha Tiger which was released on August 15, also set a record with its highest-ever opening day collection of Rs 32 crores which took Hrithik Roshan’s Agneepath to second place.
This is Salman’s fourth Rs 100 crore plus blockbuster in a row after Dabangg ( Rs 147 crore),Bodyguard (Rs148 crore) and Ready (Rs 122 crore). It’s already his biggest moneyspinner till date, fetching the record Rs 210 crores in 12 days, and promises to keep the cash registers ringing.
Reports also suggest that Salman’s box office earning have prompted Tips producer Ramesh Taurani to offer him a whopping salary of Rs 100 crores for a film. Mr Taurani, however, has denied this saying: “Salman is already signed with me and this is not the right figure. He will be doing a film in 2013 with us and details are being worked out.”
Directed by Kabir Khan, produced by Yash Raj Films and co-starring Salman’s ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif, Ek Tha Tiger reportedly cost Rs 50 crores to make. Ek Tha Tiger is director Kabir Khan’s third collaboration with Yash Raj Films after Kabul Express in 2006 and New York in 2009.
The romantic thriller is Salman’s first Yash Raj film and Katrina’s second. Katrina appeared in New York and has two other Yash Raj films coming up - Dhoom: 3 with Aamir Khan and an untitled film with Shah Rukh Khan.
Ek Tha Tiger tells the story of a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) officer, played by Salman, and the turmoil that ensues when he falls in love with Katrina’s character.
The story is written by Aditya Chopra and the film’s screenplay has been co-written by Kabir Khan and well-known journalist-turned-lyricist-writer Neelesh Misra.
