Protests by Mala Mahanadu cadres greeted TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu as he arrived in his Kuppam constituency on a two-day programme on Saturday.Mala Mahanadu leaders are accusing that TDP leader is splitting the dalits of state like the way British people have done to India. They say he is following divide and rule policy to get power over the downtrodden sectors of AP.
The activists, waving party flags and placards, raised slogans against Naidu and the TDP and held demonstrations at the venues of his programmes.
Amid huge sloganeering, they criticised the TDP president for trying to drive a wedge between the Mala and Madiga sects of the Dalits for his own narrow political advantage and gave a call for Dalit unity without falling into the trap of politicians.
The police had a tough time rounding off protesters and pushing them onto the waiting police vehicles.
