Balkrishna poster row: All India Akhara Parishad wants ban on Ramdev

Balkrishna poster rowAll India Akhara Parishad, an apex body of seers, today sought a ban on the entry of yoga guru Ramdev in the maha kumbh mela at Prayag for allegedly showing disrespect to freedom fighters.

“We are demanding a ban on the entry of Ramdev in Prayag kumbh for showing disrespect to our freedom fighters”, said Baba Hathyogi, a spokesman of the Parishad.

Hathyogi’s comments came amid a controversy in New Delhi where Ramdev’s close aide Balkrishna’s poster were shown along with Mahatama Gandhi and other freedom fighters.

Hathyogi said the demand to seek a ban on Ramdev at Kumbh mela came after the “disrespect” shown to the freedom fighters.

“He (Ramdev) is showing disrespect to our freedom fighters”, said Hathyogi.
