Justice S S Sateeshchandran rpt Justice S S Sateeshchandran directed Rajesh to furnish a bond of Rs 25,000 and two sureties for the like amount and he should appear before investigating officers as and when required.
Rajesh, who had surrendered before the Kannur Judicial First class magistrate court on August 13, soon after the Kerala High court rejected his anticipatory bail plea, had submitted that the case was politically motivated.
He said he had not committed any offence as alleged and the allegation does not constitute any offence.
CPI(M) Kannur district secretary, P Jayarajan, is among those arrested in the case.
Jayarajan and Rajesh had been charged under IPC section 118 (concealing design to commit offence punishable with death or imprisonment for life) in connection with the murder of IUML worker Abdul Shukkoor at Keezhara in Kannur district on February 20 this year a few hours after the attack on a car in which Jayarajan and Rajesh were travelling.
