Most newbie actresses would give anything to act in a film opposite Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan film. However, Sagarika Ghatge, who had quite a prominent role in superhit Chak De! India feels that signing the film was “a mistake”.
Ghatge played a prominent role of a hockey player named Preeti Sabarwal in Chak De! India, opposite to SRK. Since then, Sagarika came to the notice of the nation and generally gets referred as the ‘Chak De girl.’ Now that being a struggler, the actress has got some recognition, courtesy SRK, we wonder, why does she call her film with Shahrukh, a mistake!
The actress elaborates, “I don’t know if it was a good or a bad move. Now hopefully, I will make matured choices and won’t repeat the mistake again. It was not a planned move.”
Sagarika will soon be seen in Shamim Desai’s Rush, where she will play Emraan Hashmi’s love interest.
In fact, she says that Emraan was almost like an inspiration for her. She says, “As a senior actor, Emraan always comes prepared on the sets. I bonded well with him and he inspired me to do my homework too before arriving for the shoots.”
